Join Mark Buckler on this unique photographic experience that will expose you to the world of night-time photography.  The Outer Banks (because of its very dark night skies) provides a superb setting to learn how to photograph the stars and milky way galaxy while also practicing the technique of ?light painting?.   You will also have the opportunity to photograph during the twilight periods of sunrise and sunset.

Transportation:  You provide your own transportation.  However, for a nominal fee you may ride with Mark during the workshop (please contact Mark directly to reserve a seat.  Only 4 seats are available).

Itinerary may be modified to take advantage of weather and photographic conditions.

Recommended Equipment:  Tripod, Camera with capability to shoot at high ISO and exposures of 30 seconds (or longer), Shutter Release Mechanism (optional), wide angle to standard lens with f/4 aperture or larger (f/5.6 can work, but it will be more challenging to achieve quality results),

This is a scheduled photo workshop that is open for anyone to register.  Adding this workshop before the Nightscapes of the OBX workshop will give you nearly a full week of exploring the Outer Banks and capturing it beauty with your camera.  You can get more information and register for this workshop by visiting this page



Extend the experience by adding a photo tour of the wild horses of Corolla.  This workshop is only available to members of the Manassas Warrenton Camera Club.  Mark will provide you with the necessary four-wheel-drive transportation to access the beach where the horses roam.  We will also have the opportunity to photograph other subjects in the area--Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the historic Whalehead Club.

April 19 from 3:30-8 p.m.

Cost: $135 per person (includes transportation)
