Winter Waterfowl Photography on the Coast

for the Cape Fear Photo Club
January 21-23, 2017 (2 full days)

The coastal region of northeastern North Carolina (including the Outer Banks) is one of the most significant waterfowl wintering areas in the eastern United States and this is your chance to experience and photograph this wildlife spectacle. Imagine capturing a flock of 80,000 snow geese blasting off or hundreds of Tundra Swans landing right in front of you. We will photograph at some of the 9 National Wildlife Refuges in the area and concentrate our efforts on the abundant ducks, geese and swans. However, we will also encounter other wildlife (such as black bears) and spend some time photographing the winter landscapes of the Outer Banks
